Flood Safety
It is important to put safety first during a storm. Evacuation is always the safest alternative to avoid any possible danger. Approach for higher grounds if time is limited.

Journey to North Carolina
Our SERVPRO team did not come across any trouble with the weather on their journey to North Carolina until their arrival to the cities affected by Hurricane Mathew. Due to the flood water our crew was obligated to reroute their destination multiple times. The roads delayed the travel time for each job; a fifteen minute destination turned into a two hour trip. Most importantly our team was safe throughout the trip and enjoyed their time providing restoration services.

Hurricane Matthew Interview
Andy and Katie were featured on WFMJ and interviewed about SERVPRO of Southern Trumbull County's experience in North Carolina with Hurricane Matthew. During the interview Andy and Katie discussed the services they were able to provide to the affected homes in North Carolina.

Power Outages
Did you know that a crayon can be used as a candle in emergencies? If the power goes out and you don't have an alternate light source, try it out. Each crayon can burn brightly for about 30 min.

Tips to Survive the Dark During a Storm
Gum Lighter
If you do not have a way to light candles because there is no form of electricity or a lighter available, you can create a small fire with gum wrapper and a battery. Use the foil wrapper and a AA battery to create a flame. Tear the wrapper and let the foil touch the positive and negative battery terminals so the wrapper can catch fire.
