5 IMPORTANT THINGS WE FORGET TO HAVE IN CASE OF A STORM

It is awfully common to overlook the simplest necessities in case of any emergency, especially a storm! The item listed below should be in your homes at all times for any abrupt disaster that may occur.
- Candles
- First Aid Kit
- Flash Light and Extra Batteries
- Battery Powered Radio
- Water Bottles & Packaged Food
It is extremely important to make sure there are candles available in your home at all times. I usually have seasonal candles around at all times, but having them all light up at once can be an overwhelming smell. I like to keep a box of plain unscented candles specifically tailored towards an emergency. A first aid kit should always be in your home, whether it is to prepare for a disaster or just to treat common injuries. Flash light and extra batteries are essential during a storm even though there might be candles available because the candles should be in one room to avoid a fire. Normally it is challenging to predict how long the electricity will be unavailable, which is where battery powered radios come in handy. Water bottles and packaged food is also efficient in case of all household appliances not functioning. If any damages occurred after a storm due to water damage or in need of a cleaning service, call SERVPRO to minimize any inconvenience in your life and restore all of your damages back to "Like it never even happened."
